Once you create an account, and confirm your subscription to the email list, you can post events to the BlueBroward Calendar and post commentary in our community blog. You will also have the option of creating a public profile for display on the members page.

Services to candidates: Create a campaign profile (which can include a link to your own website), post your events to the community calendar, recruit volunteers, and post blog items. Any member can create a campaign profile on your behalf. At least one representative of your campaign must have or sign up for an account.

The BlueBroward Calendar of community events goes out by email every Sunday, supplemented by occasional additional bulletins (more frequent around election time).

Women, men and children of all ages interested and concerned about social and political issues are invited to attend our meetings.

Speaker: Jodi James, Executive Director at Florida Cannabis Action Network:  what cannabis prohibition policies mean to women as well as Florida legislation and medicinal marijuana.  This will be a casual forum so please feel free to come with questions.

This is a great opportunity to start revving up support for the amended Medicinal Marijuana Petition which needs 68,314 signatures from Florida voters to have the state Supreme Court look over the  language and ensure certain legal requirements are satisfied. With the approval of the Florida Supreme Court, the proposed amendment will need 683,140 signatures by February 1, 2016 to ensure the initiative is on the election ballot.  To sign the petition online go to

George Cavros of Floridians for Solar Choice. How Florida’s electrical utilities management is blocking the free market development of a solar electric industry in Florida.

Kathy E. Aterno, National Manager & Florida Director of the Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund – Covering subjects on oil/gas exploration, how wells in Florida using fracking techniques and the impact on Florida’s aquifers. Also coal fired electric plants in Florida and their by-products of coal ash.

Phil Busey to talk about “Obama on Energy,” The Florida Sierra Club positions on energy, Florida government energy policies and their impact on greenhouse gases, other environmental costs, and the interaction of energy and jobs.
