The Broward Chapter of the ACLU invites you to attend its Annual Meeting, Elections and Rally to Support Religious Freedom to challenge Amendment 8 which will be on the November 2012 ballot. This amendment will change the Florida Constitution to allow taxpayer dollars to be given to religious institutions. The meeting will begin at 12noon, and the rally will begin at 1pm. A light lunch and refreshments will be served. You are invited to bring a dish to share.
The Broward ACLU is pleased and honored to announce that its keynote speaker will be Barry Lynn, Executive Director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State! Americans United is dedicated to preserving the constitutional principle of church-state separation as the only way to ensure religious freedom for all Americans. And Barry Lynn is an incredible speaker! If you have never heard him, you are in for a treat!
