You can now share your BlueBroward profile with other members to let them see your skills and the issues you care about, without sharing your more private information (phone, email, street address). And you can add a photo to your profile so that you'll be able to recognize each other when you meet to go canvassing in search of Democratic victory.
You can see how it works by looking at my new listing on the Members page.

Click on Public Profile to see more about this person ...

To create a public profile, log in to your BlueBroward account and look for this dialog box on the welcome page:

This now includes the option to post a profile photo (must be in .jpg format).
These public listings are purely optional, offered for purposes of promoting better networking. If you've never posted one of these blurbs, no information about your BlueBroward membership is published. Or you can publish only the blurb and not the more extensive profile.
If you check "Allow other members to send you email," that enables the "Send email" link that appears next to your name on the members page or in the profile. (I had this working some time ago, but had it disabled for a long time because of a software bug). Instead of publishing your email on the web (which could cause spam problems), we'll relay the message for you through the website. This is similar to how Facebook handles introductions. You can use this feature to send someone a campaign listing or an event listing.
The member-to-member email function looks like this, and can also be used to send notes to people whom you would like to introduce to BlueBroward.

This is all an experiment, so let me know what works and what doesn't.
