Hi. A Brooklyn N.Y Native, I've lived in Hollywood since 1980. I feel very fortunate to have found an organization of like-minded people. Being a speech and voice coach, I immediately knew how powerful a leader Barack Obama would be. His potential to bring positive changes and hope to this country is beyond words.

I'm the co-founder of BlueBroward and its web developer. I try not to use this as my personal 'soap box'. Instead, I hope it can be a communication tool to help us organize better for future elections. I'm a great admirer of my.barackobama.com but also see the value in us having an independent web community for Broward.

I also support the website of the Democratic Professionals Council, a great organization that promotes engagement with the local business community:

I am honored to have served as your Supervisor of Elections since November 20, 2003. I ask your support and encouragement to continue serving the voters of Broward County. As your current Broward County Supervisor of Elections, we will implement a new paper based optical scan voting system throughout the county in November 2008. All voters will vote on paper this time with an electronic back up system.

Due to my extensive successful leadership and administrative skills, I was appointed to serve out the term of Supervisor of Elections in Broward County. I began this appointment on November 20, 2003. During my tenure in this position, I have led several successful elections and have been credited with improving staff morale and many office operating procedures. Over the past four years, we've cause more than 25,000 local high school and college students to get registered to vote.

Because of my commitment to continuous improvement through voter education and awareness, I've served as keynote speaker for more than one hundred groups and organizations throughout Broward. I have received endorsements from local newspapers, unions and organizations. I'm an active member of the state organization of Supervisor of Elections where I participate in state conferences and meetings.

I am an active member of the New Mount Olive Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale. As a community member, I also serve on various boards and committees. I'm currently serving as a member of the Education Advisory Board of Lauderdale Lakes where I live. I graduated from the Leadership Broward Course (Class XI). I am an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. where I have served in many leadership capacities. I'm also currently a corporate Board Member for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County.

I am the proud mother of two adult daughters and two grandchildren, Ellyn and Kamille Ruth.

I ask that you visit our website at www.brendacsnipes4soe.com. I look forward to you re-electing me as your Broward County Supervisor of Elections. Respectfully, Dr. Brenda C. Snipes.

Robert L. Lynch and his wife Ruth Roman Lynch are the proud parents and grandparents of four daughters and seven grandchildren respectively. Mr. Lynch is a retired business owner of two trucking companies and homesteaded at Castle Gardens Condominimum,Inc., Building #1.

Mr. Lynch has the distinction of having recalled his condo board that were seriously mis-managing funds and operating at a serious deficit. He single handly recalled the board and has been the organization's President for the last two years. Mr. Lynch and the new board has successfully brought the organization out of financial ruin to operating with a hefty contingency fund. He spearheaded all of this without raising condo fees to an astronomical amount. Under his leadership the organization has become one of pride and stability; truly a safe place to live.

Mr. Lynch is a Vietnam Era Veteran, 1st Vice President of Broward Coalition representing over 180,000 members of condominiums and homeowner associations. He is truly a candidate for the people and not special interest.

A true community activist, who has fought for civil rights and is a proud participant of the Martin Luther King Era Civil Rights Movement. He brings, "NEW LEADERSHIP, NEW IDEAS and NEW LEADERSHIP."

I meet the nicest people on the campaign trail. I am especially focused on the voters and their neighborhoods. I like to spend time knocking on doors and in direct contact with voters. I have walked in many neighborhoods and there is no such thing as a bad neighborhood.

I live in Coconut Creek with my husband and pets. We are both currently on disability, me for a stroke and he for a broken back. I'm attending college online so I can change my profession. I do not want to live on disability I prefer to earn my own way. I have worked since I was 14 years old and staying home is boring. I am recovering well from the stroke which is why I am selling Avon. That way I'm getting out of the house and relearning how to interact with others again.

Pat Aahara
Candidate for Sheriff of Broward County,2008.

Pat recently retired from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office at the rank of Lieutenant, after 18 years of public service. Pat worked 20 years at the IBM Corporation, and four years in the military during the Vietnam War prior to joining the Sheriff's Office.

Pat was inspired to run for sheriff after seeing Sheriff Ken Jenne removed from office, and the horrific murder of Deputy Paul Rein. Pat views the Broward Sheriff's Office as a ship adrift at sea, with no leadership or direction. Pat believes he has the background, skills, and most importantly the desire to bring trust and respect back to this great agency.

Pat believes he is the best qualified candidate, with military experience, business experience, and over 18 years as a Deputy Sheriff, Sergeant, and Lieutenant in an agency similar in size, description, and function as the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Pat Aahara is not a politician, and not a lawyer. It should be clear to the voters in light of recent events, that an experienced law enforcement officer is what is now needed.

Pat prays for your support, and asks you to join his campaign. Remember, in order for a candidate to be allowed to have his/her name on the ballot, a fee of $10,000.00 dollars must be paid. Visit Pat's website at browardsheriffaahara.com

As a Community and Civil Rights Leader, "I say to you to rise up and know when you struggle for Freedom you do not struggle alone, but God struggles with you. Freedom is never given to anybody without strong resistance, because the oppressor have you in domination because he plan to keep you there and never voluntarily gives it up; that is when the strong resistance come from a people who are oppressed, you have to keep on, keeping on in order to gain your freedom and in order to say that you are determined, through the Almighty God".

I am a life-long Democractic Party member and have been involved in progressive causes since I was a teenager growing up in Coral Springs in the 80s-90s.

After graduating from Taravella High School in 1992, I attended Tufts University from 1992-1995 where I obtained my degree in Political Theory and African-American History. While at Tufts I was involved in the creation of a progressive political journal on campus, and was a writer and editor of one of the student newspapers on campus.

After graduating Tufts, I attended Boston College Law School where I was the 1995-1996 President of the school's chapter of the National Lawyers Guild, a progressive national bar association. Founded in 1937 the National Lawyers Guild was the nation’s first racially integrated bar association. The first Guild lawyers supported President Roosevelt’s New Deal, assisted the emerging industrial labor movement, and opposed the racial segregation policies of the American Bar Association and the larger society.

After graduating from Boston College Law School in 2000 (and after spending my final year in clinical programs through Nova Law School), I joined the Broward County Public Defenders Office, representing indigent individuals charged with criminal offenses in Broward County.

After leaving the Public Defender's Office in 2002, I have continued to be involved in progressive causes in my personal life and continued my career as a litigation attorney with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Florida's largest real estate brokerage firm and part of NRT LLC, the nation's largest residential brokerage company.

I recently moved back to Coral Springs with my wife Carrie and daugther Madeleine after having lived in South Broward since 2000. I am looking forward to working with the Coral Springs/Parkland Democractic Club to promote our mutual goals and support those candidates that will support what we believe.
