The Florida Supreme Court Has Finally Spoken and the News is Great!

BREAKING NEWS:  The Florida Supreme Court has unanimously approved the ballot language for the rights restoration amendment, which would automatically restore voting rights to many of the more than 1.5 million Floridians with past felony convictions!

Here is the actual Florida Supreme Court ruling:

Here is the ACLU’s statement on the ruling (Thanks, Ronnie!):

And here is Desmond Meade’s reaction to this very welcome news:

“Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!!!!
  We Made History!!!!

Because of your efforts, today the Florida Supreme Court issued a unanimous opinion that clears the way for the Voting Restoration Amendment to be placed on the ballot for 2018! (Read here)

YOUR hard work made this possible!

YOUR unwavering support game me the energy to keep pressing forward!

Now we need your support more than ever.  Not only do we have to collect 700,000 petitions by the end of the year, but we also need to ensure that this movement remains as grassroots as possible.

I am asking each of you to become a monthly sustainer to this campaign or make a one-time donation to support our efforts. (Donate Here)  Please share the donation link with your family, friends, and social networks.

As for our petition collection efforts, we have our work cut out for us, but I am confident that we will get to the finish line together.

Please expect to see an uptick in communications as we are putting together a comprehensive coordinated volunteer petition collection effort.  Until then, please keep up the great work and support.

    I love you all!”
