Good afternoon, everybody!
I want to thank David Singer for sending out the message about Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel. Like David, I stand with our Sheriff. From the day he was elected as Broward county Sheriff, Scott Israel has served with honor, integrity, and distinction. He immediately instituted an innovative common-sense program to keep youngsters out if the prison pipeline, saying “Our success will be measured by the number of kids we keep out of jail, not the number we put in jail.” He also established the wearing of body cameras for Broward County deputies. He has always promoted common-sense gun safety proposals, opposing open-carry legislation and the idea of allowing concealed weapons on campuses. As David has suggested, I urge you to call or email Governor Scott and tell him you support Sheriff Israel and the job he is doing: 850-717-9249 or https://www.flgov.com/contact-gov-scott/email-the-governor/
