Are you as outraged as I am that the Trump Administration is separating immigrant children from their parents when they enter the United States, in a immoral, soul-less attempt to make families think twice before trying to enter without any documentation? Well the ACLU is calling out this act of terror and asking people to turn out on Friday for Families Belong Together Rallies at local immigration offices. More about that below.
We will be back at the West Regional Courthouse (Pine Island & Broward) tomorrow, Wednesday, May 30th, from 10 AM to 2 PM to register voters, sign people up to vote by mail, and collect Universal Background Check Demands. We could really use your help. Can you join us?
On Friday, June 1st, starting at 12 Noon, the ACLU is partnering with the National Domestic Workers Alliance, MomsRising, United We Dream, MoveOn, and other organizations in calling for family-friendly rallies across the country to stop the abomination of family separation. There will be one rally in Plantation and another in downtown Fort Lauderdale. You can RSVP through either of the following links:
Fort Lauderdale: https://go.peoplepower.org/event/action/14071/signup/?source=ppem_52830&t=3&referring_akid=52830.195794.u16cVX
John Ziegler’s team will be back at the West Regional Library in Plantation from 10 AM to 6 PM next Saturday, June 2nd. He needs volunteers for 2-hour shifts. If you’d like to help with voter registration at the Library on Saturday, please contact John at 954-232-3918 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s time to take action. Come out and help!
