Sometimes I Just Don’t Recognize My Country!

    Good afternoon, Democratic Volunteers!

Can you believe that our government embraced the interests of manufacturers of infant formula and opposed a resolution to encourage breast-feeding at the UN-affiliated World Health Assembly.  Take a minute and read this NY Times article.  You won’t believe it either.

Don’t forget about the Plantation Democratic Club Meeting tomorrow night at 7 PM at the Deicke Auditorium, 5701 Cypress Road in Plantation.  The featured speakers will be Pete Tingom, Lynn Stoner, and Aron Davis, all running to be the next Mayor of Plantation.  Come and ask them the hard questions.  The Club is also delighted to welcome Laurie Rich Levinson, who is running for re-election to the Broward County School Board.  As always, admission is free and refreshments will be served.

I will be back at the West Regional Courthouse (Pine Island & Broward) from 10 AM to 2 PM on Wednesday to register voters and sign people up to vote by mail.  As usual, we will have our large canopy to protect us from the sun and/or rain and a table and chairs.  Don’t worry if you have never done voter registration before.  It is very easy and rewarding!  Please let me know if you can join me.

Colby and Ralph, it was a pleasure meeting you today.  Let me know if you can help out on Wednesday.  I can show you the ropes very quickly.

And finally, On Saturday, July 14th, John Zeigler’s team will be back at the West Regional Library in Plantation from 10 AM until 6 PM.   If you’d like to help with voter registration at the Library, please contact John at 954-232-3918 or
