NBC 6Café is visiting the City of Coral Springs this Friday! Residents are invited to join the morning news team and City staff for café and pastelitos. NBC 6 will film all morning and will go live for the 11 a.m. broadcast. Participants will also learn about upcoming city events, recycling initiatives and more! Plus it is a great way to see the new city hall. See you there!
 
2. SATURDAY, JULY 21 – FROM 10 AM TO 1 PM 
This is not just for youth – It’s for all of us who are impacted by Climate Change. It is being organized by high schoolers/recent grads, but all are welcome. It is a sister march to the “This Is Zero Hour march” in DC, which will be occurring on the same day. Here is the link to their website:

3. SUNDAY, AUGUST 5 – FROM 2 TO 5 PM
It takes money to win a political election. We have a tough fight in CSPK. We need your help. 
Please come to our main money raising event and have a good time with us.

IN FLORIDA – ADVANTAGES OF VOTING BY MAIL – VOTE BY MAIL REQUESTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY JULY 30 FOR PRIMARY AND BY OCTOBER 9 FOR GENERAL ELECTION
1. You get to vote in the comfort of your home at any time
2. You have time to look over the ballot and amendments
3. It’s free – No charge to have it mailed to you and just drop it in the mail depending on the county free or for a small postage fee – advantage is no line to wait in
4. You can check to see that your vote counted – this is new

5. And if you really want to vote during early voting or on election day Nov. 6, you can trade your mail ballot for an election ballot – This way you really get to look over the ballot before voting. The ballot for the general election will have many many amendment questions. It will be one of the longest in Fl. History

    You’ll also be able to:
    Request a mail ballot
    Review/update your voter registration information
    Check the status of your mail ballot
    Review your voting activity for the past 12 months
    If you are not registered to vote please fill out our voter registration form
