HANDS ALONG THE WATER
SUNDAY, August 12,  AT 10 AM TO 11 AM  – Hosted by Rebekka Lee,  Annie Casais-Montenegro and Samantha Gentry   We need photographers and media attention

On Sunday August 12, at 10am, we want you to join us as we peacefully come together as one. By locking hands we will show that we do not, and will not, stand for our beautiful beaches, wildlife, homes and livelihoods to continuously be destroyed and impacted by the water released from Lake Okeechobee.

We will lock hands at 10:15, for 15 minutes, all across the beaches of this beautiful state- East Coast and Gulf Coast; North to South. At the end we will all raise our arms up to the sky, hand in hand, to show love to our wildlife, water, beaches, Mother Nature and one another. Join us in our peaceful movement. Can you give 15 minutes of your time to make an impact? Those willing, I will have garbage bags with me, if you would also like to help with some beach cleanup afterward

VI. Save the Date Sunday, Aug 26 – Sept 4
This could be one of the most significant events this summer – the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court has just been scheduled for Sept. 4. Kavanaugh would rule against reproductive freedom, health care, the environment, voting rights, workers’ rights, LGBTQ rights, and immigrant rights for generations. Democratic senators including Sen. Nelson have asked for more information and this event may not occur on August 26, it might occur on Sept 4 or even Labor Day. It may be a last minute event. President Trump who has appointed the most corrupt administration in our history and is under a cloud of suspicion for being a traitor should not appoint a supreme court judge.
