Here’s the Schedule for the next Couple of Weeks (and Don’t You Wish You Could Vote Tomorrow?)

    Good afternoon, everybody!

Never thought I would see the following in my country:

A fight between John Bolton and somebody and I think Bolton is the less crazy of the two!

The White House ordering weather scientists to support a mistake made by the President!

An invitation to Camp David for the Taliban, a group that wants to prevent women from getting an education!

A refusal to allow protected status for Bahamians whose homes and livelihoods were wiped out by Hurricane Dorian!

On an unrelated note, the Florida Supreme Court last week agreed to Governor DeSantis’ request for an advisory opinion on exactly what the words in Amendment 4 (“completion of all terms of sentence”) means.  See:   Let’s hope they come up with a good advisory opinion!

It was a good week at the West Regional Courthouse.  We collected 8 voter registration forms (including a woman with a prior felony conviction), 6 vote-by-mail requests, and 106 medicaid expansion petitions!  Many thanks to Michael Goldfarb, Laurie Stark, Lesley Davies, Robin Adell, and Al Rodriguez for volunteering!

I will be back at the Courthouse on Monday, September 16th from 10 to 2 (Let me know if you can join me), but then I will be gone until Monday, September 30th.  If you can help out on Wednesday, September 18th, Monday September 23rd, or Wednesday, September 25th, please let Area Leader Cheryl Levin know at 954-980-2334 or
John Ziegler needs your help on Saturday at the West Regional Library. John’s teams are there from 10 AM to 6 PM in four 2-hour shifts.  If you would like to volunteer for one of these shifts, please contact John Ziegler at 954-232-3918 or
