Now that Amendment 4 has passed, what’s next……………….
Our Guest Speaker, Dexter Gunn, will discuss helping ex-felons reenter society and making voting important to them. Mr. Gunn is the former Broward Organizer for Florida Rights Restoration Coalition. He is a paralegal and owner of Legal Documents & Research by D. Gunn, a business that provides legal documents for pro se’ litigants. He is also the founder of SOARS RESET INC, a 501c3 that counsels juveniles about the dangers of receiving a felony conviction at a young age and assists youthful offenders who are homeless, without funds and family support. For decades, Florida had the highest juvenile conviction rate in the nation. Many of those children entering plea deals just to get out of jail on probation.
