Meeting Location: 84 Diner & Cafe – 11432 W State Road 84, Davie, Florida 33325

We can all agree that 2017 was a challenging year for Florida Democrats. But the good news is that 2017 is over, gone, it’s history… so let’s turn the page!

A week ago we celebrated the New Year and one things for sure, 2018 is going to be the YEAR OF THE WOMAN. And we all know what happens when women take charge, don’t we? DEMOCRATS WIN!

There’s a lot of work to do if we are going to change our current “one party” situation. Top on our list will be to help elect a Democratic Governor and reelect Senator Nelson. Also on the agenda will be to hold on to and win additional seats, on a national, state and local level.

So how do we do all of this? By teaming up and getting involved! Join us on Tuesday, January 23rd at 6pm and become part of one of the most Dynamic Clubs in South Florida…

The Democratic Women’s Club of West Broward

Our 1st meeting of 2018 will be at our NEW LOCATION:
84 Diner and Grill
11432 W State Rd 84
Davie, FL 33325

Join the DWC and help make 2018 a HAPPY BLUE YEAR!

What is to be Done??

Guest Speaker:  Dr. Roger Whitcomb

Dr. Roger Whitcomb is a long-time Democrat political party activist. Early in his career, while a young professor at Westminster College in Missouri, he was a speech writer for then Attorney General John Danforth’s run for the U.S. Senate. While a professor of political science in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, he helped lead the fight to successfully unionize the faculty, later serving on several collective bargaining teams. He also became involved in both state and local politics. He ran several campaigns of candidates for the Pennsylvania legislature and has been an occasional consultant for Congressional candidates in his state. Toward the end of his academic career, he himself ran successfully for his city council, serving two terms and one as its president. He is proud to call himself a dyed-in-the-wool liberal.
