Welcome

blueflorida-from-the-clouds

BlueBroward.org exists to help Broward’s Democrats organize to turn Florida into a blue state, from the way we vote for President to the state and local levels. This website provides free tools to help good volunteers connect with worthy candidates and organizations. Please sign up now.

Once you create an account, and confirm your subscription to the email list, you can post events to the BlueBroward Calendar, post commentary in our community blog, and share quick thoughts and links on the social activity feed.

Services to candidates: Create a campaign profile (which can include a link to your own website), post your events to the community calendar, recruit volunteers, and post blog items. Any BlueBroward.org member can create a campaign profile on your behalf. At least one representative of your campaign must have or sign up for an account.

The BlueBroward Calendar of community events goes out by email every Sunday, supplemented by occasional additional bulletins (more frequent around election time).

I’m running for Florida Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services because Florida’s economy depends upon a thriving environment, and we need a knowledgeable steward to guide our prosperity. Every major industry sector in Florida is based on our sustainable environment. Consider:

  • Florida agriculture is a $120 billion industry, including oranges, grapefruits, strawberries, tomatoes, sugarcane, and cotton, among other crops, and supports more than 1.5 million jobs
  • Travel and tourism in Florida injects $89 billion into our economy, and supports 1.2 million jobs
  • As the gateway to Latin America, Florida’s international trade sector pumps $68 billion into the economy, and employs 2.5 million workers

Conserving and protecting our environment to ensure Florida’s strong economy takes more than lip service — it takes commitment and dedication to preserving our natural resources while promoting vibrancy and growth. That’s where I stand, and I hope you’ll join me.
